That we dream is common; how we dream is unique. For this project, a collection of dreams were animated together, each in a different style. People shared their personal dreams in interviews with the director, ranging from wish fulfilling to melancholy, whimsical to bewildering, joyful to nightmarish. The dreams are woven together into a single landscape, but each style reflects the dreamer himself. Seeing the world around us through another's eyes is a glimpse into who that person is, but to see a person's dreams through their own eyes is rare and magical.

Filmmaker - Sean McBride recently received his B.F.A. in Animation from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, where he produced two short films that have garnered much attention. Dreamscapes--the second of the two--was his senior thesis, and has been screened at Sundance, the NY EXPO, and the Atlanta Film Festival.
This piece is a strong break from his previous short film, That Special Monkey--a whimsical tale in which people trade places with animals, putting a dragon named Steve on the search for the perfect monkey. That Special Monkey is a traditionally animated piece that was recognized with a Student Academy Award and a College Television Award.
In 2001 Sean did work for Animation Stewdio, a Philadelphia-based studio that has created spots for HBO and Nick, Jr.. He also acts as editor of humor e-zine, The Electric Big-Bang Swing Machine (swingmachine.org). With a wide contributor base and a dedication to a variety of digital media, the publication has been running since 1997. Since graduating, Sean has been freelancing as an illustrator and digital designer.
